Does my data leave Canada?
Certain partners that host data, supply games or verify identity run servers located outside Canada. When data is stored or processed abroad, contracts and security requirements keep it protected to a level comparable with Canadian standards. Authorities in that country may be able to access the data under its local laws.
Is this page ever updated?
We revise this policy when our practices, partners or legal duties shift. Every version remains available on this page, marked with the date it took effect. For important changes, we will email you or show a notice at login.
How is your data protected?
- Encryption protects data travelling between your device and our servers.
- Only team members and partners whose work requires the data can access it.
- Payment details are handled by our payment partners under their security standards.
- We test and update our systems to deal with new threats.
On what basis do we use it?
- To fulfil our contract with you and manage your account.
- To meet legal duties on age, identity, location and money laundering.
- For legitimate business needs such as fraud prevention and site security.
- With your consent, for marketing and optional cookies.
Can I opt out of promotional messages?
We send promotional messages only with your opt-in. Switch them off in account settings, or click unsubscribe at the foot of any promotional email. Account, payment and security messages continue.
What about cookies?
Our Cookies and Tracking page sets out which cookies we place and how to manage them.
Do we hold data on people under 19?
Opening an account requires a minimum age of 19. Should we learn that an underage person has registered, that account is closed and the personal data tied to it is erased, apart from any records the law obliges us to retain.
How is your data used?
- To open, run and protect your account.
- To confirm your identity and age, and to check that gambling is allowed in your location.
- For processing deposits and withdrawals.
- To let you set limits, breaks and self-exclusion, and to spot early signs of harmful gambling.
- To spot money laundering, fraud and abuse of bonuses.
- To answer your messages and complaints.
- To send offers, where you have agreed.
How long is your data stored?
While your account is active, we keep your data. After closure, it is stored for the retention periods set by Canadian law for anti-money laundering, tax and gambling records, and self-exclusion records are retained so that exclusions stay in force. When each period runs out, the data is erased or anonymized.
What rights apply to my personal data?
- Access: receive, on request, a full copy of all personal information held about you.
- Correction: ask us to amend details that are incorrect or no longer current.
- Deletion: have us remove information we have no legal duty to hold.
- Objection: stop marketing, or object to uses based on our business needs.
Each request is processed after we have verified who you are, and we respond by email.
Who receives your data?
- Payment partners: Interac, Visa, Trustly, Instadebit and Neteller, to handle the transfer of your funds.
- Verification services that check where you are and confirm your identity and age.
- Hosting, game, email and fraud detection providers, all bound by contract to protect your data.
- Government authorities, when legislation obliges us to disclose it.
Your data is never sold.
